Christian Watson, a promising young receiver, showed glimpses of that clutch ability last season. Despite recovering from an ACL injury, Watson matched Doubs' target volume in the latter half of the season, and his yardage production was even more impressive. However, the playoffs highlighted the unique value Doubs brought to the team, as he accounted for a significant portion of the Packers' receiving production in their lone playoff game.
The opportunity to fill this role is a significant one. The next receiver who can replicate Doubs' skills and instincts will quickly establish themselves as a key contributor. While Doubs may not have been the most physically imposing receiver, his ability to create separation and make plays in critical moments is a valuable asset.
Personally, I think the Packers' receiving corps has the potential to step up and fill this void. With the right combination of talent and opportunity, a new "bucket getter" will emerge, and the Packers' offense will continue to thrive in those crucial money downs.
