Hucclecote Parish Councillor Chas Townley didn’t hold back, labeling the parking situation as chaotic. Resident Stephen Nevin pointed out that the issues are exacerbated around Coopers Edge School, where the layout and lack of parking spaces create a dangerous environment. "It’s not just about the number of cars," he explained, "it’s about the design of the area. When children are walking, you’re constantly on edge, worried about cars reversing onto the path." With the recent opening of a Tesco nearby, traffic has become even more "hectic."
Mark Knowlton, another resident, shared his mixed feelings: "I love the community here, but the parking is a constant struggle." He believes the original design of the estate, which provided only one driveway space per house, was flawed from the start. "It was as if they wanted to limit car ownership, but that’s just not realistic," he added.
