Breaking News: James Peoples, a former Ohio State running back, is making a significant move within the Big Ten conference!
Peoples is trading in his Buckeye gear for the blue and white of Penn State. This transfer, announced on Tuesday, marks a new chapter in his college football career.
In a heartfelt message, Peoples expressed his gratitude for his time at Ohio State, acknowledging the relationships he built over the past two years. But with a bold "WE ARE!" and the hashtag #AGTG, he signaled his excitement for his future with the Nittany Lions.
This move sees Peoples joining a conference rival after spending two years with the Buckeyes. Last season, Peoples had high hopes of being a top running back, but by the season's end, he found himself fourth on the depth chart behind freshmen. He managed to run for 344 yards and score three touchdowns on 61 carries in 2025. However, he didn't get any carries in Ohio State's final three games.
Now, Peoples will have the opportunity to step into a larger role at Penn State, where they're looking to fill the shoes of their top two running backs from last season, Kaytron Allen and Nick Singleton.
