104-0! Super League champs send warning to Broncos with 129-year first in demolition job
Two weeks away from the 2026 World Club Challenge match, where they will face the Brisbane Broncos, defending Super League premiers Hull KR have achieved their most dominant victory in the club's 129-year history.
In the Challenge Cup tournament, Hull KR showcased their prowess by scoring 104 points against amateur rugby league team Lock Lane, including 18 tries.
This victory surpasses their previous record of 100-6 against Nottingham City in 1990, with 12 different try-scorers and former NRL forward Rhyse Martin making 15 conversions.
Harvey Horne and Jack Broadbent led the charge with three tries each, while former NRL representatives Karl Lawton, Sauaso Sue, and Oliver Gildart also crossed the tryline during the thrilling contest.
Coach Willie Peters expressed his confidence in the team's potential, stating, 'This group can, I think, tick off a few milestones over the next few years.'
As the team prepares for the 2026 World Club Challenge, they will enter the annual clash with great form but will need to be at their best when they face the Broncos, led by Ezra Mam, Reece Walsh, and Payne Haas.
