Cadillac's bold F1 debut: Unveiling a unique racing livery
Formula 1's newest team, Cadillac, has made a splash with its inaugural grand prix racing livery, set to debut in 2026. The '26 Cadillac car, shrouded in mystery with its undisclosed chassis name, will feature a striking split-sides design, predominantly black on the right and white on the left. This unconventional livery was revealed in a Super Bowl ad, strategically positioned to showcase Cadillac as 'America's new team'.
The ad creatively utilized President John F. Kennedy's iconic 'We choose to go to the Moon' speech, emphasizing Cadillac's American roots. The team, operated by TWG Motorsports, will partner with Ferrari engines until 2029, when Cadillac's custom power unit is introduced. Initial testing has already commenced, with the car showcasing its sleek black livery at Silverstone and a special test livery in Barcelona, where it performed notably slower than the fastest lap, completing 164 laps.
The team's social media presence further builds anticipation, with a teaser campaign hinting at the upcoming season's streaming on Apple TV. The mission, as Cadillac Formula 1 Team puts it, is about to begin, leaving fans eager for the team's performance on the track.
