Valkanis also shared his perspective after the match, expressing surprise at receiving a red card. "I didn’t expect to be sent off, but perhaps it was a fitting way to silence me since I’ve voiced my thoughts on VAR and certain decisions in the past," he commented. "I’ve noticed that sometimes referees seem eager to issue cards to me, but that won’t change who I am. Football is fueled by emotion and passion, and if you’re going to be passive about it, then why participate? Perhaps what we really need in this league is more passion—something that seems to be lacking. We've become too robotic, with teams playing and speaking in the same manner."
